JMA hasbecome one of the most influential academic journals on metallurgy and metallicmaterials in the world.

JMA was founded in 2013 byNational Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys of ChongqingUniversity and Chinese Materials Research Society(C-MRS). Prof. Fusheng Panfrom Chongqing University serves as editor-in-chief while Prof. Xiaodong Pengas executive associate editor in chief.
