and alloys

Brief Introduction

Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA, ISSN 2213-9567) was founded in 2013, which is an international academic journal focusing on magnesium and its alloys. It is launched by the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys in Chongqing University and Chinese Committee for Magnesium and its Application. Academician Fusheng Pan serves as the editor in chief of JMA.

The impact factor of JMA in 2022 is 17.6, ranking in top 1 among the 79 journals in Metallurgy & Metallurgical Engineering category, the quartile is Q1. The citescore of JMA in 2022 is 17.1. JMA is also selected as one of the 22 leading Journal of "Excellent action plan of Chinese Sci Tech Journals". JMA provides an international medium to publish the theoretical and experimental studies on magnesium in the field of science and engineering. JMA covers all aspects of magnesium, magnesium alloys, and their products.

Editorial Board

Editor in Chief: Academician Fusheng Pan
The editorial board member is composed of world well known experts in the field of magnesium alloys from 22 countries such as United States, Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and Russia, etc.. Prof. Fusheng Pan (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering) serves as the Editor in Chief, Prof. Xiaodong Peng is the executive associate editor.

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Magnesium and Alloys provides an international medium for the publication of theoretical and experimental studies in magnesium science and engineering. Appropriate submissions to the Journal of Magnesium and Alloys include studies that investigate scientific and/or engineering factors that affect the metallurgy, processing, microstructure, properties, and applications of magnesium and alloys and reports that contribute to the body of knowledge by documenting the thinking, philosophy, and strategies of magnesium science and engineering.

The Journal of Magnesium and Alloys covers all aspects of magnesium and alloys and their manufacture, including raw materials, alloy casting, extrusion and deformation, corrosion and surface treatment, joining and machining, simulation and modeling, microstructure evolution and mechanical properties, new alloy development, magnesium-based composites, bio-materials and energy materials, applications, and recycling.
